Your Sky-View Forecast: May 2012
One of the phenomena that makes 2012 such a remarkable year in the eyes of astrologers, whether they were ancient Mayans projecting into the future or an astrologer today, will take place on May 20th. Not only will both the Sun and the Moon enter the sign of Gemini on this day, but there will also be a solar eclipse visible across China, Japan and the Western U.S., so people in these areas will experience the maximum impact of this pivotal event of change. The weeks of May 13th and 21st are a time when "anything can happen," because they surround the day of the solar eclipse, and a powerful one at that!
Many astrologers refer to the eclipse as "when the veil between two worlds is pierced." While it's probably not a good plan to ask the boss to trade offices for a day, it will be fun to watch planned events suddenly decide where they are going all by themselves. All we have to do is adapt. At the same time Venus appears to "stand still in the sky" just before she goes retrograde, or the appearance of going backwards on her path in the sky to return to cross the face of the sun in June - an extremely rare occurrence and very much a part of the Mayan predictions for 2012.
Meeting Location Update
Lecture meeting location: The beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright designed Community Christian Church on the Country Club Plaza, 4601 Main, KC, MO (pictured to the right). Use the main church entrance. Here is the link to the Church with directions. Parking is south of the church. We are supposed to park on the 2nd level, as it's the bank parking lot; however, around 7:00 pm is probably ok for the visitor spots. If traveling north on Main St., turn right into the lot. If one is traveling south on Main, turn left (north of 47th St.).
Meetings will continue to be held on the 2nd Monday of each month, 7-9 pm, unless otherwise noted. In addition to all meetings, all special lectures and workshops will be held at the Community Christian Church. Please see details for the special lectures and events in March, 2012 for Arielle Guttman and April, 2012 for Dr. Christina Becker for times and locations. There are no regular monthly meetings held in March or April.

In this lecture Debbie will explain the "heliacal rising and setting" stars in your chart that act somewhat like another “Sun Sign,” and how the stars, in relation to planets and luminaries, speak of the passions that drive our lives. This technique enriches any reading of your astrology chart.
