Meeting Location Update
New lecture meeting location beginning July 12, 2010! AOA is pleased to announce that we will be holding our future lecture meetings at the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright designed Community Christian Church on the Country Club Plaza, 4601 Main, KC, MO (pictured to the right). Use the main church entrance. Here is the link to the Church with directions. Parking is south of the church. We are supposed to park on the 2nd level, as it's the bank parking lot; however, around 7:00 pm is probably ok for the visitor spots. If traveling north on Main St., turn right into the lot. If one is traveling south on Main, turn left (north of 47th St.).
Meetings will continue to be held on the 2nd Monday of each month, 7-9 pm, with the exception of our special lecture by internationally renowned astrologer, Gary P. Caton on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010. We will be lucky to have Gary in the area on that date. He will also be offering personal consultations (see our "Home" and/or our "Events" pages at www.astrologykansascity.com on that date.

subject: Reinterpretation of Zodiac Degree Symbols -
"The Circular Temple"
For our September lecture, noted astrologer John Sandbach will be speaking on a book he is writing called "The Circular Temple". This ambitious work will reinterpret both the Sabian and Hyperion zodiac degree symbols "as a means of clarifying them".
The original Sabian symbols were formulated by clairvoyant Elsie Wheeler, with astrologer Marc Edmund Jones, some 80 years ago. They were first reinterprited by Jones friend and contemporary, Dane Rudhyar, in his book "An Astrological Mandala". Now, Sandbach is in the process of rechannelling not only the Sabian symbols, but Gavin Kent McClung's Hyperion symbols, in what promises to be "the most extensive book on degree symbols written so far". Our Vice-President and Programs Manager, Allen Blasco, has informed us that we have a "Workshop Double-Whammy" next Spring! We not only have the unsurpassed brilliance of Robert Hand for a workshop June 10th and 11th, 2011; but we also now have Ray Merriman, Financial "Guru" Astrologer coming for a lecture... on Thursday, April 28th and a Workshop on Saturday, April 30th, 2011.
