What Did the Sky Look Like to the Three Wise Men/Astrologers and on the Day Christ Was Born?

A number of astrologers, including Bernadette Brady (see below), agree that the most likely year for the birth of Jesus was 0007BCE, not only because of fascinating aspects that happened at that time, but also because of the stories of the Three Wise Men/Astrologers from the East visiting King Herrod prior to arriving in Bethlehem, and he was no longer King after 0004 BCE.

Astrologers at that time were using visual astrology along with casting our current day flat charts, thanks to the Ptolemys in Alexandria. Bernadette has suggested 2 dates, May 1 0007BCE and Sept. 15, 0007BCE for the Birth of Jesus. I will examine the May 1st date and what the Wise Men would have seen that would have provoked their determination that the future “King of the Jews” birth was imminent.

When Jupiter reappeared at sunrise after being invisible (hidden within the Sun’s rays), the Mesopamian astrologers (from the East) would have reported to their king that a new powerful figure was being introduced to the world, a future king. They also began each month at the Crescent Moon – as did the Hebrew astrologers of that time. What was remarkable about this, was that it took place on the Spring Equinox, so their Moon god Sin was “reborn” that month conjunct (in the blessing “rays” of) Venus and conjunct the Pleiades in the shoulder of the Great Bull. The Pleiades have been celebrated and observed since VERY ancient times - see the “dots that would have been in the shoulder of the bull from 18,000 year old Lascaux cave paintings:

Aldebaran Heliacal Rising Star 
This is one of the four great Royal Persian Stars, the “Watcher of the East,” and the Archangel Michael in Christian Astrology. Each of the four Royal Persian stars offers a path to true success. In the case of Aldebaran, continued success is base upon maintaining your integrity. It is the “bull’s eye” of Taurus. When you look at the sky you can see the large triangular shaped head and horns of Taurus. Aldebaran is the reddish star in the face of the bull…a beautiful sight… 

Celebrity examples Aldebaran Heliacal Rising Star:
Prince William, Princess Diana, Paul McCartney. Aldebaran prominent in star parans: “Gemini twins,” Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, as well as Mozart, Carole King and Joan Baez, who fought to maintain their musical artistic integrity. Directors and Actors Meryl Streep, Ron Howard, Anna Paquin and Angelina Jolie also insist on artistic integrity and for the “wholeness” of humanity as well.

Ankaa Heliacal Rising Star
This star is in the great Phoenix bird, rising from the ashes – a star of transformation. You are a person who experiences profound changes allowing incredible growth in your life.   

Celebrity Examples:
Angelina Jolie has transformed from the young rebel actress to her focus on marriage, motherhood and the plight of children worldwide with husband Brad Pitt. Also: actress Frances McDormand, who seems to “transform” with every role. The beautiful Josephine Baker arose from the ashes of poverty in a slum of St. Louis to become a great and treasured figure in France. Among the works of her marvelous life was offering sanctuary and safe passage to refugees fleeing the Nazis in France. 

Heliacal Rising Star Betelgeuse
In the right shoulder of the constellation Orion. This “masculine” shoulder indicates that you are confident in your area of success (or possibly, in general) and walk into leadership roles with ease. While it is one of the stars that offer success, Betelgeuse probably indicates this achievement with the greatest ease of all.  

Celebrity Examples: 
Heliacal Rising: George W. Bush – heir apparent to the Presidency from a prominent and powerful family, and Henry VIII. Prominent: J.K Rowling, Stephen Hawking, Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman, and Brian Wilson, famous at age 19 as the creative force of the Beach Boys and a musical genius. 

Heliacal Rising Star Bellatrix
In the left shoulder of the constellation Orion and associated with feminine, rather than masculine power – the female warrior. While it is also one of the stars that offer power and success, Bellatrix has challenges along the way, as do the Royal Persian Stars. You are a person who grows tremendously with any success you achieve.

Celebrity Examples:
Lindsay Lohan has Bellatrix as her Heliacal Rising Star (her stars indicate that she will grow tremendously through her problems. Prominent: Angelina Jolie, Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman, Feminists Germaine Greer and Bella Abzug, former PM Margaret Thatcher, Kathryn Hepburn, and Nelson Mandela. 

Heliacal Rising Star Alnilam
Is in the belt of Orion and is the star that signifies a “belt of pearls.” The 3 brilliant stars in the line that forms the belt were the “three wise men” who announced the arrival of the savior king, Osiris. Alnilam as the “belt of pearls” star indicates that you know the way to a very ancient god/goddess integration, within you and outside you.  

Celebrity Examples:
Leader of the women’s movement, Bella Abzug and Ginger Rogers, the image of “interwoven” masculine and feminine as she magically danced with the great Fred Astaire and as they say, “she did it in heels and going backwards.” Brilliant actor/director Ron Howard, “pointed to the sea goddess” with his flm, “Splash,” and his own daughter in “Lady In the Water.” His mermaid, Darryl Hannah, has Alnilam powerful in her chart as well. 

Heliacal Rising Star Rigel
Is the brightest star in the constellation Orion, one of the most beautiful visual locations in the sky. To the Egyptians, Orion was Osiris, the god of gods. Rigel is the foot of the Pharaoh/god on earth. He offers protection, strength and steadiness to those who serve him with respect.

Celebrity Examples: 
Rigel Heliacal Rising: J. K. Rowling, Anna Paquin, Terence Stamp, Margaret Thatcher, Bella Abzug, Raoul Wallenberg (Swedish banker/hero who helped to protect individuals at risk from the horrors of Nazi concentration camps), Carl Jung, Beatrix Potter. Rigel Prominent: Actors – Blake Lively (Bridget: “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”) Leelee Sobieski, Natalie Imbruglia, Paul McCartney, David Helfgott, Stephen Hawking, Maya Angelou, Che Guevarra. 

Heliacal Rising Star Alhena
In twin Pollux’s heel in the constellation Gemini (the other twin being Castor). Pollux was the boxer while Castor was the Horseman of these twin brothers who were devoted to each other. This heel is related to Achilles heel, or the wounded heel of the god. While there is a wound, it is the heel of a god, so the Alhena person prevails. There is a powerful and proud commitment to something important to the Alhena individual.  

Celebrity Examples: 
Alhena Heliacal Rising: John Lennon and Director, Cameron Crowe. Prominent: George W. Bush, Paul McCartney, Russell Hitchcock, Air Supply, Jim Henson, Sarah Vaughan and Margaret Thatcher. 

Southern Hemisphere Birth Heliacal Rising Stars Mirfak and El Nath
You reflect power and heroism. Mirfak is in the constellation Perseus, the Prince, and represents the youthful male in his potent, sexual expression. El Nath is in the tip of the horn of the Bull showing powerful strength in actions or words that can pierce.  

Celebrity Examples: 
Sexy actor Bryan Brown has Mirfak and El Nath as Heliacal rising, as do football great, Ben Hart and Russell Hitchcock of Air Supply. Mirfak is prominent in Britney Spears’ chart, too. 

Southern Hemisphere Birth Heliacal Rising Star Capella
In the constellation Auriga, the Charioteer. The current form of the charioteer is a male with a goat suckling her kids over his shoulder, the “suckling” occurring at the place where a female would normally be nursing. This appears remarkably contrived and would conform with the “transformation” of the rest of the female constellations either being in chains (Cassiopeia, the Queen and Andromeda, the Princess) or being that of Virgo, who was so offended by humanity that she left.

Another reason to consider Capella as a free, soaring female is the fact that the temple to the independent huntress Artemis/Diana at Eleusis was aligned with Capella at the time of the annual mystery pilgrimages to this sacred site. She also lives in the flying/speeding goddesses of (Celtic) Epona, Macha, Rhiannon (incorporated into the goddess Bridget), (Germanic) Holda and Artemis/Diana. Capella is an energetic spirit who loves speed and flight. She is both nurturer - primarily of animals, but also women and children - while also being an independent spirit.

Capella Heliacal Rising or angular: Nelson Mandela, Gasparo Angiolini – originator, (flying) ballet music/dramatic performances, and Chilean poet and politician, and lover protector of the people, women, the poor, and his beloved planet, Pablo Neruda. Capella Prominent: Actress Blake Lively, whose character Bridget in the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” was modeled after goddess Bridget and Alexis Bledel, Lena in the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants;” LeeLee Sobieski; Anna Paquin; Footballer Ben Hart; surfing champion Rochelle Ballard, who flies down mountainous waves; Frances McDormand, Johnny Depp, Paul McCartney, and astronaut Ed White.

Heliacal Setting Star Arcturus
In the constellation of Bootes the “Ploughman.” You are a powerful person who “ploughs” through with changes for the betterment of people. You offer important guidance to others to assist them in adapting to major transitions in the world – like those taking place now!  

Celebrity Examples:
Princess Diana; Actors Johnny Depp and Lindsay Lohan (whose star chart shows potential for great growth). Pearl S. Buck was one of the earliest committed and effective humanitarians and certainly led the way to our current culture. 

Alphecca Heliacal Setting Star
Is in Corona Borealis, the great Northern Crown, also related to Daidem (meaning crown) in Coma Berenice, and Corona Australis – the Southern Crown.  Alphecca offers a "crown" in some form in any case, even a literal crown in the charts of Prince William, Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth II and Henry VIII. Interestingly, one of the most fascinating people ever to wear the “crown” of Alphecca was the gorgeous and gifted Josephine Baker, who arose from poverty in St. Louis to go on to fame, particularly in France. There, she seduced the Nazis into acquiescence towards her in response to her beauty, sensuousness and charms. This allowed her to work on behalf of the French Underground during World War II. She smuggled intelligence information out of the country in her sheet music and harbored refugees to keep them from harm. She was honored with many “crowns” (medals) by Charles de Gaulle for these efforts. This is just one chapter in her very regal life. 

Diadem Heliacal Setting Star
in constellation Coma Berenice indicates that your destiny includes generosity and a sacrificial gift for others – a protective gift of a lock of hair, an ancient talisman. “Berenice’s hair.” In her mythology Berenice placed her hair on the altar of Aphrodite/Venus to protect her husband Ptolemy III on one of his military campaigns. Her hair disappeared from the altar and was later discovered in the sky. With Diadem important in your stars, you experience honor and express dignity and artistic ability that has been earned by your own dedication and commitment to the love of others. Diadem also means crown,and also refers to your "crowning glory," your hair.  

Celebrity Examples: 
Heliacal Setting: Prince William, Paul McCartney. Prominent: John Lennon (much attention was paid to the Beatle’s hairstyles). Anne Frank suffered under the persecution of Nazi Germany but generously left her gift of her diary. 

Ras Algethi Heliacal Setting Star
in the constellation Hercules reflects surrender to a great cause, to one’s art, and to the joyous dance of life. “Hercules” in his ancient form, kneels before the sacred symbols of life. Surely this promises many challenges as came the way of Hercules, but then the ultimate experience of reverence, and subsequent joy, of “accepting what is,” and joining the rhythms of the universe with delight.  

Celebrity Examples:
Albert Einstein, Johannes Kepler and Buckminster Fuller were definitely “in tune” with the Universe; Anne Frank, showed universal wisdom as a young girl and a joy of life that appeared impossible in the face of Nazi Germany. Actors: Johnny Depp, America Ferrera, LeeLee Sobieski, Anna Paquin; and Paul McCartney and John Lennon provided us with the music of the universe while Maya Angelou heard the rhythm of life and made it powerful poetry. 

Ras Alhague Heliacal Setting Star
Is in the head of the constellation of Ophiucus, an enormous constellation that actually stretches across parts of Scorpio and Sagittarius, and across the ecliptic (as do the other zodiac signs). It is often considered the 13th sign, particularly if one thinks of lunar cycles, as opposed to solar cycles, as many religions today use in the calendars. Ophiucus is the Great Healer handling the serpent that we see encircling a staff in the modern symbol of Western medicine and is related to the great Greek physician, Asclepius of the ship Argo. In ancient feminine mythology the goddesses are seen interacting with serpents. It is a sign of healing and also relates to women’s folk medicine and the healing element of women’s blood. Some amazing examples are the fascinating goddesses of the Minoan civilization and the related art displayed at Knossos on Crete. The serpent was a phallic symbol in ancient civilizations and could well indicate balancing this energy and using it to heal and revitalize. 

Celebrity Examples: 
Carl Jung, the great psychologist who worked with mythology and the common human unconscious. Anna Paquin, who portrays the healing love of a vampire as a “blood donor,” in the HBO series, “True Blood.;” and Sister Clare of Assisi who has been portrayed as working with lepers and others suffering from illness; and author of sorcery and magic, J.K. Rowling also has a prominent Ras Alhague.  Other examples: Beethoven and Franz Liszt, Joan of Arc, Nelson Mandela, Vincent Van Gogh, Abraham Lincoln, Germaine Greer, Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel from the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” Natalie Portman, Cameron Crowe and Paul McCartney. 

Southern Hemisphere Heliacal Setting Star Antares
another Royal Persian Star that is the “Watcher of the West” in the Heart of the Scorpion. Like Aldebaran, it offers success, though in this case, through your passions, as long as you manage them for the good of others. This is a very powerful red star that can be observed in the constellation, Scorpio. It is associated with Archangel Ariel. The west, of course, was where the ancients watched the sun drift below the horizon to return for another day. So, Antares is associated with the “death” before a rebirth. You truly need to have a sense that your experience will “take you for a ride” if you have a prominent Antares.  

Celebrity Examples:
The Antares adventure of 16-year-old Abby Sunderland was the attempt to sail solo around the world. When she got to the “underworld” of the Southern Hemisphere, a dark, terrible storm de-masted her boat and left her adrift – like the underworld goddess, young Persephone was kidnapped by Pluto to his underworld kingdom of Hades. Her mother, goddess Demeter searched the world until she was returned to her, as did the airplanes and ships in the area of Abby’s distress. Happily, both Demeter and the searchers were successful after some terrifying days, but Abby had to leave her boat in the “underworld,” only carrying the treasure of her growth experience. Other examples: Bryan Brown has Antares setting and it’s prominent in passionate singer/dancer Tina Turner’s chart, who went through life and death experiences in her abusive marriage. 

Southern Hemisphere Aculeus and Acumen Heliacal Setting Stars
Aculeus is the Heliacal Rising Star also known as the Butterfly Cluster nebula above the stinger of the Scorpion in a dark part of the Milky Way. It is a partner star to Acumen. Both tend to endure the “sting” of gossip, with Aculeus growing in strength from such assaults. Hey, you have to be interesting for others to gossip, right? What you learn from this is healing.  

Celebrity Examples: 
with Aculeus prominent: Natalie Imbruglia, who was ranked as one of the top natural beauties in the world, is a champion of ending poverty and clinical depression, from which she suffers. Also Bryan Brown, Joan Baez, and both Paul McCartney and Stephen Hawking display sharp minds and use of language. Through their own personal pain, the “venom” experienced is “alchemically” transmuted into “medicine” for others – biting words become healing words. This is shown in the killing and healing properties of the venom in the stinger of the scorpion. 

Southern Hemisphere Heliacal Setting Star Facies
If you have Facies prominent in your star chart you will have great vision and intensity of focus. You have the eye of the Archer, Sagittarius. While it can represent the ruthless warrior in event charts, in personal charts the intensity and “single-sightedness” of your unwavering stare gives you the focus to produce what appear to be miracles. You have the steady hand of the painter or surgeon. Facies people can provide the energy and concentration to move forward with certainty and without distraction from almost anything.

Celebrity Examples:
The amazing focus of Oprah Winfrey brought great gifts to others, along with her astounding success. John Lennon’s intensity also took a creative form that riveted the world. Probably most profound were Nelson Mandela, who had the powerful focus to endure years of brutal imprisonment to see his hard work toward the end of apartheid come to fruition and Nostradamus, who probably had the most singular vision to events of the future that we have recorded. Lovely young actress Kate Bosworth turned her Facies gaze onto sports and acting. With this Sagittarian influence, Kate’s focus was on horses (Sagittarius) and she became a national champion equestrian. Out of that came her first acting role came from Robert Redford for his film, “The Horse Whisperer.” She also turned that intense stare towards acting, where she has now grown into an acknowledged fine actress.

Lunar Eclipse on on June 26, 2010 at 6:30 am

This particular alignment falls right on the angles in Kansas City. What this means to astrologers is that Kansas City will be very, very prominent in this dynamic alignment, while this could be anytime from now until early August - eclipses time events over several months (mostly the adjacent weeks), and the related solar eclipse on July 11th, that looks like Kansas City will not be the focus on the map.   

I would be looking for sudden, emotional-political and/or weather trends that will be very powerful, and might likely affect existing structures. It could be politics, the weather, or the Mighty Mo demanding our attention. Our technology related to structures will also be in focus. Let’s focus on it being a positive report on our beautiful new Paseo Bridge, under construction, or necessary corrections in the political system, ultimately.

Mapping this, the whole gulf coast from New Orleans to Southern, FL is in the crosshairs of this eclipse along with Kansas City, but this should hardly be an astrological revelation... However, that Nodal line that Arielle Guttman describes as "at the scene of the crime" runs right through KC, near Little Rock and Memphis, down to the gulf coast with the Pluto Descending line on the gulf coast as well as Jupiter/Uranus MC lines, Saturn IC line, and Sun rising line.

The stars affecting Kansas City at the time of the lunar eclipse on June 24th – 6:30 am bode well for the outcome of our eclipse activities, as do Betelgeuse and Castor on the angles. Betelguese is rising at the time of the lunar eclipse and is a powerful, beneficial star - the right shoulder of Orion/Osiris, Castor, one of the Gemini twins, is also rising. He indicates writing in a more positive style, heroics and brotherly love are indicated by Castor as well. Betelgeuse would emphasize the heroics theme.

The stars affecting KC at the time of the eclipse bode well for the outcome of our eclipse activities, as do Betelgeuse and Castor on the angles.  Betelguese is rising at the time of the lunar eclipse and is a powerful, beneficial star - the right shoulder of Orion/Osiris, Castor, one of the Gemini twins, is also rising.  He indicates writing in a more positive style, heroics and brotherly love are indicated by Castor as well.  Betelgeuse would emphasize the heriocs theme.
