Follow-up to Golden Globe Predictions Predicting the Golden Globes Through Astrology: Did It Work? By Debbie Keil-Leavitt In our recent astrology article: The Golden Globes: Movies, Magic and Myth published in the January 12th California Psychics blog we discussed the celebrity nominees' and performers' charts for the big night to predict winners. We picked one of the biggest upsets when Scorsese won Best Director for "Hugo," while "The Artist's" Michel Hazanavicius was expected to sweep the awards! We also noted that Meryl Streep, Glenn Close and Rooney Mara had the strongest charts for Best Actress in a Drama, with Meryl Streep winning this award. Not exactly a "pick," but we at least spotted her as the potential winner. We also noted that Best Actor George Clooney had a great chart for the evening, but Brad Pitt and Leo DiCaprio had equally strong charts, so we picked the top three. Even with all the hoopla about "The Artist," Woody Allen's chart looked good enough for an upset. He didn't win for Best Picture, but he did win best screenplay - so he took home a Golden Globe in spite of the odds. We loved Zooey Deschanel's chart as the Venus figure (young female) for the evening. She appeared to raves in her Prada gown and was pronounced the "most adorable" in television by the presenter in her category. Where did we miss? We were wrong about Jodie Foster winning Best Actress in a Comedy, but she was definitely one of the comedy winners of the evening with her very funny "good sport" handling of one of Ricky Gervais's most raunchy celebrity comments directed toward her. Astrology works in mysterious ways. Finally, we saw Joseph Gordon-Levitt as having a great evening. He didn't win, but will something great happen for him from the Golden Globes evening? Let's keep an eye out for his, and Rooney Mara's futures, as they both looked to gain from the evening. |
