Visual Astrology: An Introduction to the Mesopotamian roots of today's astrology.

Bernadette Brady has revived many of these ancient techniques and has done remarkable predictive work (predicting the 2008 Presidential Election, the complicated results of England's last Prime Minister's election, the "behind the scenes" activity that preceded the death of bin Ladin, and more). She and Darrelyn Gunzberg are teaching this work through their company Astrologos, and AOA's Debbie Keil-Leavitt is one of a small number of astrologers who have received diplomas in these techniques.

Following her recent study of mantras and a 2010 visit to India, Elizabeth Cutting developed an interest in Vedic Astrology based upon her many years as a practicing astrologer, her Vedic studies, and recent workshops and discussions with the internationally renowned Cross-Cultural astrologer and psychologist, Dr. Dennis Harness. Elizabeth delighted her lecture attendees with her unique perspective on the subject of Vedic Astrology, mudras, and various other aspects of Vedic work.

Your introductory night will begin with a video on the Yugas, “The Great Year,” by Walter Cruttendon, narrated by James Earl Jones. This wonderful presentation will provide the visuals of the Yuga/Great Year cycle with Debbie Keil-Leavitt offering cross-cultural references to include addressing the Mayan Calendar 2012 predictions. The Yugas/"Great Year" will continue with a really fun history of our astrological origins (Dennis is always fun). Saturday, July 30 – Workshop, at the Community Christian Church on the beautiful Country Club Plaza. Mythical Museum Tour at the Nelson – Atkins Gallery and Luncheon at the Zodiac Foun tain in beautiful Rozelle Court at the gallery.

Dennis will presenting and introduction to the Nakshatras (Lunar Mansions) in the morning, prior to the Mythical Tour of the Nelson-Atkins Museum. Dennis will comment on the beautiful works in the area of Indian art across from the room with a world-renowned Quan Yin statue, known as one of the most beautiful anywhere. Dennis and Debbie will then lead the group through the Egyptian/Mesoptamian, and Greek sections, full of gorgeous inspiring pieces as well. Lunch will follow in the amazing Rozelle Court with it’s beautiful zodiac fountain as it’s centerpiece. After lunch, Dennis will continue with the Nakshatras, working with Debbie who will be drawing parallels to the Egyptian Star Parans and Visual Astrology. Raymond A. Merriman is President of the Merriman Market Analyst, Inc, a market timing advisory service and publisher of research, books, and products in financial market timing since 1981. As a financial market analyst, Ray edits several financial reports for traders and investors throughout the world. In 1991, he published the first edition of “The Sun, the Moon, and Silver Market,” showing the correlation of various solar-lunar cycles to the tops and bottoms of filtered waves of at least 3%. But in 1994, he launched an entirely new campaign that first involved a basic primer on Cycles Studies (“Merriman on Market Cycles: The Basics”), then astrology (“Basic Principles of Geocosmic Studies for Financial Market Timing”). These were followed by four volumes of “The Ultimate Books on Stock Market Timing,” a very comprehensive study of the U.S. stock market cycles and its correlation to geocosmic studies, which were written from 1997 through 2005. The fifth and final part of this 5-volume set is expected to be completed in 2010, and will demonstrate the relationship between various technical analysis studies and both geocosmic and cyclical studies in long-term, intermediate-term, and short-term movements in stock indices.

Merriman also served as President for the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR, Inc), a non-profit astrology membership organization dedicated to raising standards for the profession of astrology, as well as raising public understanding as to the value of Astrology to society and culture. He served in this role from 1994-2000, and again from 2002-2008.

In addition to his newsletters and constant research on the correlation of planetary cycles to cycles in human activity, Ray also trades his own account and makes time to speak to both financial and astrology groups throughout the world. His free weekly column is translated in seven different languages (English, German, Japanese, French, Dutch, Russian and Serbian). It is estimated that approximately 500,000 people per week read one of the versions of this free weekly report.
